Editing your packing slip template

You can change what Freshly packing slips show by editing their HTML and Liquid template in Freshly Preferences. Template editing is part of the paid Freshly plan.

Edit the template

  1. In Freshly, go to Preferences.
  2. Scroll to Packing slip templates and click Edit template.
Freshly > Packing slip and edit the template
  1. Edit the HTML and Liquid in the editor.
  2. Click Save template. If the template has a Liquid error, Freshly shows it and doesn't save.
  3. To check the result, click Preview packing slip. The preview uses your most recent order, so it only appears once your store has at least one order.
Saving the edited template

Once you save your own template, Freshly no longer updates it when we improve the default template.

Go back to the default template

Click Reset to default template and confirm. Your changes are deleted permanently.

If you cancel your paid Freshly plan, your custom template is deleted, and packing slips return to the default.

Variables you can use

  • order : for example order.name , order.created_at , order.note , order.shipping_address , order.billing_address , order.note_attributes
  • shop : for example shop.name , shop.email , shop.domain
  • customer : the order's customer
  • line_items : loop with {% for line_item in line_items %} . Each has title , sku , vendor , product_type , image_url , formatted_price , quantity
  • line_item.inventory_batches : loop with {% for inventory_batch in line_item.inventory_batches %} . Each batch has expiry_date , received_date , location , quantity  (units of this item from the batch), and metadata.batch_name , metadata.batch_number , metadata.barcode , metadata.invoice_number , metadata.description

The default template uses all of these, so it's a good starting point. Freshly removes scripts from the rendered packing slip.
