Print Barcodes with Freshly Data using Multi‑Label Barcodes
Currently, Freshly doesn't have out of box support for handling barcodes however, we integrate with Multi‑Label Barcodes app which lets you print labels including barcodes and other information from the customer order. Below are the steps to use it with Freshly:
- Install the Multi‑Label Barcodes app to your Shopify store under Apps section.
- Once installed, you have the ability to either use your existing barcodes or assign new bar codes using the bulk assignment for barcodes and SKUs under the app options as shown in below screenshot:
- Guides on how to setup the barcode app completely is available within the app once you install it to your store.
- Now, you need to navigate to Label Templates and customize your label to your needs.
- You can either create a new template from scratch by clicking "Create New Template" button on top right or click on one of the existing templates to load it into your own templates and customize it.
- Scroll down on the customization page and create the template of your choice. To begin, please click on "Add Sample Product Label" and it will load the liquid code as shown below:
- You can use metafields from Freshly to pull information into the label. For example, if you would like to display expiry date of the product assigned to the batch, you can place the following code:
Exp. Date {{product.metafields.freshly.expiry_date | date: "%Y/%m/%d"}}
It's recommended to place it over the barcode.image as shown below:
- Once you have made the changes, hit the save button and navigate back to the main page of the app.
- Select the product and push it to the queue.
- Select the template you created and hit create label. The outcome will look as follows:
